Ultraclean Technology has developed a patented oxygen-based upgrading platform that improves the quality of transport fuels, marine fuels and base oils. Originally commercialised for oxidative desulphurisation, the platform also reduces polyaromatic hydrocarbons and nitrogen compounds while enabling the upgrading of lower-quality and circular feedstocks into higher-value products.
The result is cleaner fuels and lubricants, lower hydrogen dependence, improved refinery economics and a practical pathway to support the transition to a lower-carbon, more circular energy system.
